Description: A play on words for the countryside, The Stix is a metaphoric artefact narratively documenting our modern-day connection with the natural world through considered imagery and creative text. The Stix looks back at the Renaissance idea of the Bucolic countryside and Pastoral Literature, highlighting how a longing for a simpler idyllic life is still just as yearned for today, within sweeping painterly Landscape photography and styling using only items, owned, borrowed, or loved before. The Stix is a social commentary paying tribute to the precious power of nature and timeless connection we share with it, as we navigate an increasingly chaotic world.
